Many a christians have a wrong notion that false prophets always belong to other religion or sect. It would be better if they read Mat. Chapter 24 in full to find out from where these false prophets come. False Prophets come from within Christianity claiming themselves to be prophets (!!) of God. They will often have visions, visitations to heaven and hell, God speaking to them and all sort of psychic talks. Dear friends, God what ever wanted, has spoken through His scriptures, the Bible. The Book of revelation is already a complete book of prophecy regarding the Church and the days to come, and nothing is to be added/ taken away to that book thus claims the bible itself in Rev. 22:18-19. So for God's sake, the true lovers of words of God beware of these false prophets who like bees are surrounding and stinging the christian people. They extract the juice (money) out of the flowers (innocent christians) and self proclaim that God talk to them.
How to identify these false prophets: 1. They will always be behind money. All their talks will end up in asking donations, money for their so called ministry. Identify them by their Greed of Money. 2. What ever they say that God has told them, will never happen because God really never speaks to these false prophets. 3. Even Satan is called God of this world. If what ever they claim that God has told them and if it does not take place, then imagine which God has spoken to these false prophets. 4. Why at all God should choose a bunch of these false prophets and speak to them once he has already revealed everything in the scriptures and says that when the seventh angel blows the trumpet, the mysteries will be made known. If God can speak to these false prophets as they claim, then God can speak to us who try to walk in his narrow path. 5. There will be no love in them. The love shown by them will be artificial. They will fake tears in prayers. If you cannot love a man who is nearby, you can never love the invisible God, thus says the bible. 6. Their life style. Their posh bunglows built by money stolen (I mean this word) from sincere Christians taken as offering to God. Their luxurious cars, again by stolen money. 7. Their way of talking. They will always claim, that this or that God has told them to do and that too to do that with money from Christians. They say that the money is for God but they use the money for their living and that means they claim themselves to be God. Any one claiming himself to be a God is again a anti christ. 8. Only these false prophets will say about visitations to heaven and hell, buildings made in heaven, fire in hell and people burning there (these bunch of false prophets do not even have the time to refer bible that without the day of judgement no body goes into the fire, even if there is some place like that), prophecising natural calamities, earthquakes ( which even the Met department does often). 9. These so called prophets are more worried about their ministries rather than declaring the kingdom of God chiefly because they don't differentiate the Kingdom of God and the Heavenly kingdom. 10. Their only claim will be if you know Jesus you will go to heaven otherwise to hell for eternal burning. And there are many more points which I will post about them subsequently. But dear friends in Christ, beware and do not be deceived by these false prophets as our master told, " And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many" Matt 24:4-5 and again, "And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many" Matt 24:11, "For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect" Matt 24:24 (KJV). Dear chosen members of Christ, beware of these false wicked prophets whose ultimate aim is to fill their stomachs, look after their families and lead a luxurious life in this earth. A high profile false prophet from Tamil Nadu gave a prophecy that God told him that peace would be established in the island of Sri Lanka. We all know how far it has taken place. So you can identify these prophets by their false claims. Another pastor told that God is going to send a Tsunami which also did not happen. And the bible says, if any one claims that he has spoken of what God has told him and such a thing never happens call him a FALSE PROPHET. Grow in christian love of which Paul writes and that alone is going to last for ever (! Corinth 13:13). Don't get carried away by the crocodile tears, a few magic shows, a few push and pull activities on pulpit and give these false prophets glory. Glory is to be given to God alone who is the maker and creator of every thing. After reading Mathew Chap 24, please compare with the activities going on inside the Christiandom. You will be glad to know that it is time when the Kingdom of God is established as we ask in our prayer, "Thy kingdom come" as taught by our master and all the glories of these false prophets will be known to each and every member of Christ's body. As the number of false prophets increase so the nearing of His kingdom. Our master in his own words has said, "that when he comes, he will hardly find faith on this earth". Awake and beware of these False prophets. And think what is our ministry now, as Peter the apostle says, "that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light". And that is it. Just declare the praises of him who has called us out of the darkness of not knowing the Jehovah God and His son Jesus Christ our Lord. Declare the coming of His kingdom which he has taught us. Nothing more than this. What ever the miracles taking place is just because of his mercies for his mercies are abundant. The biggest miracle is that we get up every day morning from our bed safe and sound. What more bigger miracledo you expect in your life.
